August 11th, 2009 — How To Make Money, Make Money On The Internet, Recommendations, Ways To Make Money On The Internet
So you want to know how to make money on the internet? Or are you looking for a get-rich-quick scheme? There is a clear difference between the two. If you are trying to make money online for the long term, you are going to want to avoid trying to “get rich quick” and the entire mentality that accompanies it. It takes most people MONTHS and sometimes YEARS before they start earning any decent money online.
A great way to make fast money on the internet is to put targeted advertisements on your websites. If you don’t have a website yet, you could write a few articles for InfoBarrel or HubPages and expect to earn some pretty good money via their shared revenue systems. The point is, as long as you have traffic, you have the potential to make money. With that said, you probably will not make squat for money if you are not targeting any specific keywords on your site.
Making Money On The Internet = Avoiding Blogs
What should you do if you have no clue about how to make money? The very first thing you should do is start taking action instead of reading blogs! A lot of times people think that they need to “keep reading blogs” and “absorb as much information” as they can before they actually build a website and start making money online. All that “reading blogs” is going to do for you is show you how other people are making money – it is not going to make you any money yourself!
It is definitely a good thing to have some knowledge about what you are doing before you launch a website, but reading articles about “how to make money on the internet in 30 days with this simple technique… (insert fake testimonial here) it really works, I made $382,082 in 6 hours while sitting in my college dorm room” are not going to get you anywhere. You need to step it up and actually do some keyword research, find some topics that you are interested in writing about (that also pay well), and start setting up websites. Now, I already told you what the best web hosting service is for people that are trying to make money, so get going and sign yourself up if you haven’t!
Buy Yourself Some Hosting and Domains
Once you have signed up, what should you do? I recommend having a list of all the topics that you are going to create websites about, and starting with one website. You are going to need to buy domain names for each website, so you probably want to go through a cheap service. I recommend getting your domain through NetFirms.com (that’s where I get mine) and they only cost about $7.99 per domain (this saves you a couple bucks vs. GoDaddy).
Anyways, once you have purchased your hosting and domains, transfer your name servers to match your hosting. When you have finally gotten your hosting properly set up and all of your name servers transferred, you may need to wait a few hours for them to lock in. Make sure that you have your “privacy” enabled on all of your domains and then start by clicking “Add A Subdomain.” Type in the URL’s of each domain that you purchased.
Setting Up A WordPress Website
Next, go to a little icon called “Fantastico” in your cPanel hosting. You should then set up a new version of WordPress on each of your domains that you bought. Once WordPress has been set up, you should go get yourself some good plugins like (All In One SEO pack, Google Sitemap XML, No Self Pings, etc). You will probably want to make sure that you have a theme that looks good as well.
Your next step should be to write some posts on your website. (Before writing, make sure that your permalink structure is set to custom permalinks with: /%postname%/. After you have set that up, I recommend that you add about 10 to 20 posts that are each solid length. Make sure that you do some keyword research ahead of time using Google’s Keyword Tool. This will help to make sure that you are getting targeted traffic.
Writing Content and Internet Marketing Tools
When you have finally have finished writing your posts, you are going to want to dedicate a pretty darn big chunk of time to marketing them. I recommend that you spend a lot of time on marketing, becuase it will help you get a heck of a lot more traffic than just writing new posts will.
What can you do for marketing? There are a bunch of good things to do as a marketer. I recommend writing related content on shared revenue sites like HubPages and InfoBarrel, (and maybe even Squidoo) and sending about 2 links back to your main website in each posts. Make sure that you are anchoring your links properly for the keyword that you are targeting. You should also look for similar blogs to exchange blogroll links with so that you can get more traffic.
I also recommend using EzineArticles.com and GoArticles.com to send a total of 20 links back to your site. Ezine links are going to be slightly more powerful, so you should go with at least 10 of those. When you have finally sent out all of your links, take some time to wait (by not marketing your site any more for a couple weeks). After about 3 to 4 weeks, you should think about using either Unique Article Wizard or Article Marketing Automation to send your site some more links.
You can get a heck of a lot of good backlinks using these services. Despite their prices ($67 per month for Unique Article Wizard) and $47 per month for Article Marketing Automation, they will save you a ton of time. If you can only afford one, I personally give the edge to UAW, but they both are very solid. What’s nice about using these services is that you will likely be able to earn way more than they cost per month. If you are paying $114 per month, but have increased the traffic on 20 of your sites by double, you could make a lot of extra money… Let’s just say the cost of these 2 programs will be pretty insignificant.
Google Adsense and Affiliate Links To Make Money
After about 1 to 2 solid months of marketing and adding more content to your website, all that you need to do is throw up some Google Adsense ads and affiliate links to products that you like. I don’t recommend promoting any affiliate products that are crappy… make sure that you test them out before you go spamming your blog with links for them.
Anyways, if you followed the instructions in this post, you should be well on your way to making money on the internet quickly. Will you need to keep making websites forever and slaving away at writing new content for all of them? No, once you start making some decent money, you will be able to outsource your article writing and hopefully (eventually), the entire set-up process of your websites!
People can and do make a full time income online if they approach it with the right mentality. Start small, but always focus on making improvements and never (ever ever ever X infinite) give up! It took me awhile to learn how to make money on the internet, but I have figured out a strategy that has worked well for me. Everyone is different, so focus on your strengths and play off of them.
Along your journey, you will make new discoveries and find new monetization methods that maybe I don’t even know about at the moment that may work really well for you. I will say that if you are working A) As hard as possible + B) As smart as possible, you are going to make a lot of money in a pretty short amount of time. Best of luck to all those who set out to make real money on the internet!
August 2nd, 2009 — Outsourcing, Recommendations
If you want to have someone help you with content creation to promote a website, then forget stressing yourself out by looking for somebody to hire. Instead, do yourself a favor and check out the Human Rewriter! Most outsourcing companies will charge you either: A) Too much money for good quality or B) Too little money to be able to offer you quality articles. Even if you are getting a pretty good deal with your current outsourcing method, the quality is probably not aligned with the price that you are paying (or vice-versa). If you are like me, you do not want to waste your money paying for outsourcing articles that are returned to you with a ton of grammatical and spelling errors or even worse, articles that don’t make any sense. I have experienced a lot of article outsourcing services and to be honest, most of them were a complete waste of my money!
To avoid frustration and get yourself to start kicking some major butt on the net, you want to make sure that your articles for marketing are legible, written in English, and actually make sense to the person that reads them! Submitting crappy content to promote your articles is really not going to do you much good, so you need to find a quality content generation service that charges a good price and delivers quality. If you are serious about making money on the internet by using articles to market your websites, you are going to want to check out the Human Rewriter or at least finish reading this review so you know what to expect. (Oh, and in case you were wondering, I am using my affiliate link throughout this article – if you found this review helpful, I’d appreciate it if you signed up with my link so that I can at least make the money back that it took for me to write this detailed review).
How the Human Rewriter actually works
The name “Human Rewriter” is pretty self explanatory. You submit any article that you have written (or found on the internet) and they “rewrite it” to make 100% completely unique content. They have a team of English writers that know what it takes in order to create a great article. The cool thing about the HumanRewriter is that they let you buy credits with your money. Each credit that you get is worth about $1 dollar – so if you bought 30 credits, that would be equivalent to spending $30 dollars.
You then spend however many credits you want for an article. I usually use up about 3 credits or $3 dollars per article, but you can use more or less if you would like. When the article that you initially submitted has been completely rewritten, you will be sent a notification. All you do from there is log-in to your account and you can look at the article that you received and compare it to the article that you sent them. They show you all of the disparities between the articles and you will quickly see that your article is 100% unique. You can compare line-by-line and see that your new article is very different than the one that you originally gave them. You can also read it over and check to make sure that it makes sense.
The best part about the service is that you can read the article and choose whether or not you want to accept it before you use up any credits. If you are not completely satisfied with the job that was done on your re-write, you do not need to pay anything. Simply send it back and they will completely re-do the job for you. I have never had a problem with getting a bad article – but if you ever do, you at least do not need to pay for it.
What is the overall price of Human Rewriter?
You can get yourself a 450 word to 475 word article rewritten all for just around $3. On their website you will find that it costs about fifteen cents (yes 15 cents) for one solid sentence. It all averages out to a very inexpensive rewriting service that you should definitely take advantage of if you want to have article that you can market with.
Completely Unique Content – The best part of this service is not only that you get completely unique content, but it is very high-quality. Most rewriters are just trying to get as many articles done as they can in an hour and could care less about the quality of their work. All of the articles pass the CopyScale test and are well written for an outsourcing business.
Quality Content – If you are not happy with the quality of the content that you get back after having one of your articles rewritten, you can outright “reject it” and have them do it again until they get it right. I have never had a problem with receiving quality from these people, so I doubt that you will either. But in any case, you have the final say as to whether they did an acceptable job before you pay them any money for your article.
Low Price – At just around $3 for a 450 word article, you are getting yourself one heck of a good deal. Now you may know about other article services that charge a similar price, but the primary reason that this is such a good price is due to quality. If you do not care about quality, keep paying a low price to flood the net with more crappy content. If you actually care about putting good information out on the internet that somebody can actually read and relate with, then this price is very reasonable. In fact, I would not be surprised if this company does not raise their rates in the future.
Human Re-Writes – No people, you are not going to have a person from India working on your article that doesn’t know proper English – you are going to have a person from the United States crafting and putting a completely unique spin on any one of your articles that are submitted.
You Save Your Fingers – Folks, I’ve written hundreds of articles in order to get my foot in the door in this making money on the internet business. You are not going to want to spend all of your time typing away, rather you are going to want to reinvest your profits towards having a service help you. I have experienced plenty of burn-out from writing an average of 15 articles per day at over 800 words each. Trust me, you will not want to have to deal with the headache of doing this much writing. Now, I can easily average about 15 articles (without having as much of a headache).
Free Content Spinner – They also have a free content spinner that allows you to tweak various sentences in your articles… for free on all of your purchased rewrites. This means that if you had a sentence like: “These vitamins may help promote vital organ growth and promote healing across your body” – you would get a few different variations in return by just using their generator. They may look something like this:
“These/Some/A lot – of the vitamins/minerals/supplements – may/can/will – help/aid/promote – organ/bodily/muscle – growth/expansion/health – as well as/in addition to/and also – healing/recovery/regeneration – across/throughout/among – your body/ the nervous system / a person’s brain.”
You get the idea of how it works. It is not quite as intricate as the example as I laid out above and is actually much easier than having to tweak your sentences that much. I recommend that you do not use the spinner all the time though, because you are going to need to make sure that your content is completely unique. Sometimes the spinner does not produce 100% unique content and you can definitely get yourself into some trouble if you are not careful with this.
Turnaround Time – In all honesty, I don’t even consider this to be a disadvantage, but some people have complained that they don’t like the 36 hour turnaround time for an article to be completed. You can have your order expedited for a fairly cheap price if you need your content ASAP. I recommend just paying and then waiting for your article so that you do not end up spending more than is needed. Oh, and in case you were wondering, you will get your articles back in the order that you submitted them, so there won’t be much confusion as to which article you should have gotten back first, etc.
Human Rewriter Review – Final Thoughts
Let me say that if you are serious about doing any kind of work with internet marketing, you are going to want to buy yourself some Human Rewriter credits and put it to use. You can save yourself a ton of time that you would normally have spent writing your own content by having educated English writers write it for you. I absolutely love the Human Rewriter and as of now, they really don’t have any competition as far as quality and price goes.
Do you outsource all of your content with them? No, I take the time to write solid articles for my websites, but will use their services to help market my sites. If you want to make any kind of money on the internet, you are going to need good articles to use for marketing. Take the time to make sure that you get the job done right with the Human Rewriter. This service seriously rocks for the low price that they currently offer!
Skeptical? Get Yourself a Free Trial!
Don’t take my word for how good this service actually is, just go there and give it a shot for yourself to see whether you like it! You can get yourself a free $5 dollar trial if you are a little bit skeptical about spending money. I am always skeptical when trying out a new service like this, so you should definitely test the waters before you actually place a bigger order. Also, be sure to use the coupon code “warrior” (all lowercase) if you place an order for $25 or more because it will get you 10 free credits. If you make use of the free trial and use the coupon code (with your $25 or more order), you are going to get 13 articles for about $25 – a very low price.
