Best Tips To Make Money On The Internet

Most people that have been able to make money on the internet made tons of mistakes before they saw their first dollar (I know I did). Although you may be struggling to achieve success online, I have some tips that you may find helpful. The coolest part about making money on the net is that you are in complete control of your own business one hundred percent of the time. You call the shots, you make your own hours, and you decide what you would like to work on. Many times when people first start their journey to make money, they think that they need to pick a topic that they hate writing about in order to earn. Doing work that you clearly do not like (whether it be writing articles, freelancing, etc.) is usually not going to inspire you to make more money.

If you hope to be successful as a web entrepreneur or internet marketer, you should have a genuine passion for what you are doing. I have found that when I try to force myself to write too many articles on topics that I don’t like, I am far less productive than normal. In order to reach a state of maximum productivity and motivation, I first force myself to meet a few criteria that I’ve set for myself. Below are some personal steps that I now go through before setting up a website with the intention of making money online.

Best Tips To Make Money On The Internet

Step #1: Make a large list of things that I enjoy

Step #2: Use the Google Adwords Keyword Tool to find the CPC / traffic ratio

Step #3: Take a look at CPC, traffic, as well as my level of interest

Step #4: Choose a topic that is motivating and that pays well

Step #5: Set up a website with a keyword rich domain name

Step #6: Write articles, market them, and watch the money roll in

Before devising this improved strategy for myself, I used to only choose topics that had high CPC’s. Folks, this is clearly a major mistake. Although you may be initially motivated by starting with a very high CPC, it is probably not such a good idea if you have zero or minimal interest in whatever you’re writing about. I have found that the websites that I have a lot of interest in usually perform the best (as far as traffic goes) as well as in earnings. It is very easy for me to come up with the motivation to work on them throughout the day.

Work On Your Interests

Do you really want to have making money online seem like hard work? If you are going to be the one writing articles, you will probably done a heck of a lot better on websites that you have a natural interest in. Maybe you really enjoy tennis – why not start a site on tennis racquets? As long as it’s a profitable niche, you should do just fine with earnings. If you are writing about construction tools, but have a passion for gardening, it will be much harder to get motivated. At least do yourself the favor of researching some topics related to gardening before writing another article for your construction site.

It is also important to understand your personal set of ethical guidelines. Are you a person that could care less about others and is trying to make as much money as possible? Or do you genuinely attempt to write solid information that helps people? The internet is flooded with spam these days, so writing a bunch of “garbage information” is usually not the answer. Usually the individuals that write quality articles will have them linked to by other webmasters because the articles will actually be useful. Being able to get backlinks to your site from readers is much easier than marketing the content yourself.

Help People Find What They Need

Most people feel a lot better about themselves as an internet marketer when they are writing high quality content that helps people. If you are helping people (in any way), you’ll probably feel a heck of a lot better than you would if your focus was on scamming people. People that are only online to make cash are going to feel much less fulfilled at the end of the day than the individuals that had a positive impact on someone else.

Reflect on your successful projects. Do you have a website (or several) that are very successful? If you do, it can be very helpful to analyze what you did that made them successful. Sometimes people get stuck in a rut and cannot think of what should be done in order to get more traffic or earn more money. Always take a look at the strategies that you used on sites that are already successful – it will likely be obvious as to what needs to be done on your new websites in order to get the same results.

Avoid Distractions

My final tip to make money on the internet is to only partake in activities that will help you achieve your goals (i.e. avoid distractions). If you spend a lot of time surfing the internet, reading the news, checking your email every 5 minutes, checking your Google Adsense earnings, checking your website traffic, reading other blogs, etc., you are not only going to waste a lot of time, but you are going to minimize your productivity.

I realize that it can be tough to manage distractions, but it is something that I consider an absolute “must” to earn money online. In order to cope with this, I typically disconnect my computer from the internet and write articles while I’m not even online. I also make sure that my speakers are unplugged from my computer so that I don’t get distracted by turning on my iTunes, or listening to new music. In my early days, distractions made it impossible for me to write a solid article of 500 words in less than 30 minutes. These days I can knock out an article fairly quick as long as I don’t get distracted.

There are many other good tips that you can implement to make some extra cash on the net as well. In order to be successful online, it is important to implement the advice that resonates with you as an individual and stick with it. Hopefully some of the stuff in this article is able to improve your money making ability.

10 Ways To Make Money On The Internet

Learning to earn money online can take some time, but it can also be very easy. There are many ways to make money on the internet however, most of them are unknown to the general public. In fact, most of the advertisements that people come across stating “I made $100000 with Google Adsense – you can too if you sign up for my program” are complete lies. It is a very smart idea to stay away from offers that sound too good to be true and do some activities that will actually earn you money. Most people think that earning money on the net should involve very little work and should be much easier than a regular job. Unfortunately, the idea that you don’t need to work hard to earn a lot is completely bogus.

Having that said, there are plenty of great opportunities for people to start earning a living on the internet or make a few extra bucks on the side. Within this article, I list various ways in which you can earn a solid living. In my opinion, the best part of working online is that you have far greater control over: your hours, the amount of work you do, how hard you work, and you are your own boss. Although you may not be able to make millions of dollars in your first year online, you can always find ways to improve your earnings.

10 Ways To Make Money On The Internet

1. Write Articles

If you are a good writer, or even a person that is a decent writer, you can earn a solid part time income off of just writing articles. So how can you earn cash by just writing? You can choose to start your own website and sell advertisement space; you can write for other sites, you can get hired as a freelancer, etc.

One quick way to earn some cash is by writing for websites like InfoBarrel and HubPages. Both of these websites allow you to write about whatever topic that you want and publish it. When people visit your specific page, they may be interested in the advertising and you can earn a commission. Similarly, you can also put up affiliate product links to earn commission off of Amazon.com products as well.

2. Sell Stuff

Many people earn a good living by selling products on the internet. Whether you decide to create your own set of products (i.e. digital recordings, ebooks, etc.), it is not very difficult to implement a store into your website and start earning money. If you are selling quality stuff, word of mouth will quickly make your website popular and you should see an increase in revenue.

If you don’t want to sell products, you can simply look for old items around your house that you could get rid of and sell them. Places like eBay and Craigslist are great for making money by selling items that you no longer need. Even Amazon.com now has implemented a section in their website for people that want to sell used products. This is definitely something to consider if you find your house filled with clutter and things that you no longer use.

3. Try Taking Paid Surveys

There is a lot of confusion about paid surveys on the net. Most people do not realize the potential that these have as a way to make money on the internet. The whole key is to make sure that the surveys are legitimate before you sign up. I recommend that you take the time to read some user-generated feedback and reviews online to make sure that people are having success with getting paid what they deserve.  I have had a lot of success with the survey website Cash Crate, which I recommend to anyone interested in taking surveys for money.  I am currently in the process of testing a few others to see whether they live up to the hype.

4. Do Some Freelance Work

If you would like to work as a freelancer online, there are plenty of great places to check for work. I personally have had a lot of success with the site Elance, but there are plenty of others that will work well. The nice thing about working as a freelancer is that you can choose jobs to fit your area of expertise. For example, if you are a great graphic designer, you could find only jobs that are looking for a graphic designer.

5. Start A Blog

These days, the power of blogs (or weblogs) has significantly increased. If you have a lot of knowledge regarding a certain topic that people are searching for, you can stand to make a decent amount of money. Some of the most popular bloggers can make millions of dollars per year. If you choose a profitable topic and stick with it for several years (continuing to update and market your site), you should be able to pull in at least a few thousand dollars per month (on the low end).

6. Take Advantage of Craigslist

There are often online-based job opportunities that are listed on Craigslist. If you enjoy using Craigslist, there are plenty of great ways to make yourself some money. You should, however, realize that not every listing is going to be legitimate. It is a good idea to take the time to investigate the job to make sure that it is actually an authentic offer.

7. Build Websites

There are many people that want to start their own website, but don’t want to do all of the designing and transferring of files, plugins, and editing of code. You can always offer services to people if you are experienced in this area. If you are great at designing unique templates, you can stand to make a lot of cash on the net.  Not to mention the fact that you can get involved in flipping websites if you are experienced enough.

8. Create Business Logos

There are always people looking for individuals that know how to create unique logos to help with business branding. If you are a highly creative individual and know how to create customized graphics in Photoshop, people will pay you for your work. Obviously the more impressed the client is with the logos that you have created, the more recommendations that you will get. Most people charge anywhere from $25 to $100 for a unique, simple logo.

9. Sell Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Services

A lot of businesses have great websites, but have no clue about marketing them to get more traffic (and more business). If you are experienced in SEO, you will likely be able to help out a lot of companies that are trying to get more traffic in a competitive market. Where can you sell your Search Engine Optimization services?

You can start by offering help to others in various forms like Digital Point. You can also call up various businesses and explain that you could be of value to their company. In a sense, you are creating your own job with a company by providing them with SEO. As long as you know what you are doing, you should be able to help out the business and get paid what you deserve.

10. Create and Sell eBooks

An eBook is a digital version of a book that people can choose to sell online. Selling an eBook is one of many ways to make money on the internet through a popular blog that you may own as well. Although many bloggers write free articles, they may want to pack some added knowledge into one comprehensive guide for their visitors to enjoy.

You can sell an eBook through various online marketplaces (e.g. Clickbank) and even choose to allow affiliates to sell your book. Even though you may not become an instant millionaire from writing your own digital book, you can stand to make a healthy amount of cash if you provide quality information.
