10 Ways To Make Money On The Internet

Learning to earn money online can take some time, but it can also be very easy. There are many ways to make money on the internet however, most of them are unknown to the general public. In fact, most of the advertisements that people come across stating “I made $100000 with Google Adsense – you can too if you sign up for my program” are complete lies. It is a very smart idea to stay away from offers that sound too good to be true and do some activities that will actually earn you money. Most people think that earning money on the net should involve very little work and should be much easier than a regular job. Unfortunately, the idea that you don’t need to work hard to earn a lot is completely bogus.

Having that said, there are plenty of great opportunities for people to start earning a living on the internet or make a few extra bucks on the side. Within this article, I list various ways in which you can earn a solid living. In my opinion, the best part of working online is that you have far greater control over: your hours, the amount of work you do, how hard you work, and you are your own boss. Although you may not be able to make millions of dollars in your first year online, you can always find ways to improve your earnings.

10 Ways To Make Money On The Internet

1. Write Articles

If you are a good writer, or even a person that is a decent writer, you can earn a solid part time income off of just writing articles. So how can you earn cash by just writing? You can choose to start your own website and sell advertisement space; you can write for other sites, you can get hired as a freelancer, etc.

One quick way to earn some cash is by writing for websites like InfoBarrel and HubPages. Both of these websites allow you to write about whatever topic that you want and publish it. When people visit your specific page, they may be interested in the advertising and you can earn a commission. Similarly, you can also put up affiliate product links to earn commission off of Amazon.com products as well.

2. Sell Stuff

Many people earn a good living by selling products on the internet. Whether you decide to create your own set of products (i.e. digital recordings, ebooks, etc.), it is not very difficult to implement a store into your website and start earning money. If you are selling quality stuff, word of mouth will quickly make your website popular and you should see an increase in revenue.

If you don’t want to sell products, you can simply look for old items around your house that you could get rid of and sell them. Places like eBay and Craigslist are great for making money by selling items that you no longer need. Even Amazon.com now has implemented a section in their website for people that want to sell used products. This is definitely something to consider if you find your house filled with clutter and things that you no longer use.

3. Try Taking Paid Surveys

There is a lot of confusion about paid surveys on the net. Most people do not realize the potential that these have as a way to make money on the internet. The whole key is to make sure that the surveys are legitimate before you sign up. I recommend that you take the time to read some user-generated feedback and reviews online to make sure that people are having success with getting paid what they deserve.  I have had a lot of success with the survey website Cash Crate, which I recommend to anyone interested in taking surveys for money.  I am currently in the process of testing a few others to see whether they live up to the hype.

4. Do Some Freelance Work

If you would like to work as a freelancer online, there are plenty of great places to check for work. I personally have had a lot of success with the site Elance, but there are plenty of others that will work well. The nice thing about working as a freelancer is that you can choose jobs to fit your area of expertise. For example, if you are a great graphic designer, you could find only jobs that are looking for a graphic designer.

5. Start A Blog

These days, the power of blogs (or weblogs) has significantly increased. If you have a lot of knowledge regarding a certain topic that people are searching for, you can stand to make a decent amount of money. Some of the most popular bloggers can make millions of dollars per year. If you choose a profitable topic and stick with it for several years (continuing to update and market your site), you should be able to pull in at least a few thousand dollars per month (on the low end).

6. Take Advantage of Craigslist

There are often online-based job opportunities that are listed on Craigslist. If you enjoy using Craigslist, there are plenty of great ways to make yourself some money. You should, however, realize that not every listing is going to be legitimate. It is a good idea to take the time to investigate the job to make sure that it is actually an authentic offer.

7. Build Websites

There are many people that want to start their own website, but don’t want to do all of the designing and transferring of files, plugins, and editing of code. You can always offer services to people if you are experienced in this area. If you are great at designing unique templates, you can stand to make a lot of cash on the net.  Not to mention the fact that you can get involved in flipping websites if you are experienced enough.

8. Create Business Logos

There are always people looking for individuals that know how to create unique logos to help with business branding. If you are a highly creative individual and know how to create customized graphics in Photoshop, people will pay you for your work. Obviously the more impressed the client is with the logos that you have created, the more recommendations that you will get. Most people charge anywhere from $25 to $100 for a unique, simple logo.

9. Sell Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Services

A lot of businesses have great websites, but have no clue about marketing them to get more traffic (and more business). If you are experienced in SEO, you will likely be able to help out a lot of companies that are trying to get more traffic in a competitive market. Where can you sell your Search Engine Optimization services?

You can start by offering help to others in various forms like Digital Point. You can also call up various businesses and explain that you could be of value to their company. In a sense, you are creating your own job with a company by providing them with SEO. As long as you know what you are doing, you should be able to help out the business and get paid what you deserve.

10. Create and Sell eBooks

An eBook is a digital version of a book that people can choose to sell online. Selling an eBook is one of many ways to make money on the internet through a popular blog that you may own as well. Although many bloggers write free articles, they may want to pack some added knowledge into one comprehensive guide for their visitors to enjoy.

You can sell an eBook through various online marketplaces (e.g. Clickbank) and even choose to allow affiliates to sell your book. Even though you may not become an instant millionaire from writing your own digital book, you can stand to make a healthy amount of cash if you provide quality information.

Flipping Websites To Make Money On The Internet

A lot of people talk about flipping websites these days as a means to make some extra cash online. What happens when someone flips a website? It is not very difficult to understand the concept of flipping a website. All that “flipping” implies is that you create your own website and then sell it in order to make money. The process can seem somewhat complicated if you have never flipped one of your websites before. Obviously the best way to learn how it’s done is to experience it for yourself by starting up a website, working on it, and selling it to someone that is interested.

What is a potential buyer going to look for in the website? Most people will be looking for whether you have chosen a keyword-rich domain name. For example, you will want to have a domain name like “RedChairs.com” if you were trying to target the keyword “red chairs.” Having something like “MySeats.com” would not work as well for “red chairs” and would thus reduce the value of your overall website. As with many activities on the internet geared towards making money, there are going to be some initial expenses.

First of all, you are going to need a reliable web hosting service to host your websites. Secondly, you are going to need to have basic knowledge of how to transfer your website to a new owner after the monetary transactions have been made. Okay, so how are you going to make some money on the internet by flipping your site?

I have had success with using Flippa, but there are also other places that you can go to in order to flip your site. Before ever listing your website for sale, you will want to know how much it is worth and how much it is capable of earning. You should do some research ahead of time and have a clear understanding of whether your niche site will sell. It is always helpful to look at what types of websites are currently selling on Flippa and keep them in mind.

How to Flip Websites Quickly

Flipping websites is not a very difficult endeavor, but may seem slightly confusing the first time that you attempt to flip a site. After you have gotten the hang of it, being able to flip a site becomes really easy. The quickest way to flip a site to make a quick buck is by building up a web property that gets consistent traffic, is capable of earning money, and has a solid domain name. If your site meets that set of criteria, you should not have a very difficult time finding someone willing to pay out money for rights to the ownership.

What types of websites should be flipped?

Examples of websites that can be flipped to make money on the internet include:

1. Websites that you no longer enjoy working on – Many people get tired of certain sites and writing articles in certain niches. Although they may be earning some money off of the site, they decide that it simply isn’t something that they want to keep. If you are in this situation, you should take the time to evaluate whether you could benefit from selling a website.

2. Websites that you don’t have time to work on – Let’s face it, nobody wants to have a ton of sites in their portfolio of web properties that they don’t have any time to work on. Many people find that managing a lot of sites is very stressful. If you find too many sites stressful and want to refine your focus, it is smart to simply call it quits on a site and put it up for sale.

3. Websites that you want to get rid of – Some people end up creating websites and just feel like getting rid of them. Although you are not likely going to sell a site that is earning zero money, you may still be able to work something out if the domain has aged and is targeting quality keywords.  Never “throw away” your websites without at least making an attempt to flip them first.

4. Websites that could make you rich overnight – In some cases, people want to get rid of sites that are already making a lot of money or are capable of yielding a huge profit as they continue to grow. Many people wonder why anyone would sell a website that is pulling in $100 per day. The answer is so that they can earn a lot of money, avoid downward market trends, and so that they can reinvest their cash into more important things. The asking price for these types of sites is typically thousands of dollars.

Not Everyone Enjoys Website Flipping

Although not everyone enjoys the process of website flipping, it can be a useful technique to make money on the net. I recommend that you test the waters for yourself by giving it a shot at some point in your career online. I know that flipping certain websites can be extremely profitable if the timing is right. There are times when the market demand for purchasing certain websites is significantly low. It is always a good idea to study the market, participate in some flipping forums, and closely observe the buyer/seller trends.

Consequently, if you are able to understand the process of selling your website, you probably will have a much easier time buying websites as well. If the process of flipping sites interests you at all, you can continue to read more. If you are content and don’t want to flip any of your sites, it is at least a concept to consider for future reference.
