There are tons of things that you can do in order to get a higher ranking in search engines. I had originally mentioned “9 Ways To Get Backlinks For Better Search Engine Rankings” and decided to write a follow-up article. If you are serious about increasing the traffic to your website, you are going to need to know how to get links. After your website has built up some authority, people will naturally start linking to you from their blogs. However, you are going to need to first get people to your website by doing some internet marketing.
9 More Ways To Get Backlinks For Better Search Engine Rankings
Unique Article Wizard
This tool has helped me a lot when it comes to getting links from other blogs in a short amount of time. With this tool, you basically submit three original articles that are all similar and related to the same topic. The unique articles then get distributed to a network of many websites and blogs. Each article allows you to get up to two authorship links. Most of the time, articles get submitted to thousands of websites – and although these sites are not usually very quality, the links still help.
You can read my Unique Article Wizard Review if you are interested in finding out more information. It currently costs $67 per month, which I think is very reasonable. If you aren’t yet making this much money on the internet, it may seem like a pricey tool. With that said, there are not too many programs that make link building as easy as Unique Article Wizard’s system. As of now, I encourage you to at least try out the tool. If you don’t like it after one month, you are only out $67. I have been using it for a long time now and the results have been significant enough for me to continue with its usage.
Social Media Websites
There are tons of ways in which you will be able to get backlinks by participating in social media communities. Places like Facebook, Twitter, Digg, and Stumble Upon, can all be a source of traffic. You can create a website page on Facebook, link out to your site from your twitter profile (as well as with your Digg profile or StumbleUpon profile). Obviously you do not need to use them all, but the more that you take advantage of, the more link juice you will get sent your way.
The great thing about using social media sites is that it also provides more of an opportunity for you to get new visitors to your site, thus increasing your traffic. The more traffic that you get to your website, the greater percent chance you will have to get a link from one of your readers. If you link to an extremely well written article, it may get re-tweeted on twitter or become one of the most popular articles on Digg – you really never know what can happen. Never be afraid to put your material out on social sites – the powerful backlinks will be worth it.
Feed Directories
There are many different Feed Directories that will allow you to submit your RSS feed. When you have submitted it, the website will automatically be pinged every time you update your blog. The nice thing about submitting your site’s feed is that you also get a link back. Although it takes time to submit your feed (e.g. http://2makemoneyontheinternet.com/feed) to tons of different directories, the link support will surely help.
It is recommended that you do not submit to every directory all at the same time. Take the time to space out your feed submissions so that they look natural to the search engines. Eventually, you should notice that your blog’s readership increases as well as its traffic. There are many lists of feed directories on the net. As long as you eventually submit your feed, you will benefit by getting extra backlinks for better rankings.
Build Website Authority and Popularity
If you can manage to run a blog that targets a big enough audience, you can build authority if you maintain and update it. On average, it takes a blogger roughly three years to gain authority in a very competitive topic. It can take longer, but it may also be a much quicker process if you are great at link building and Search Engine Optimization. When you finally have a large number of readers and visitors, you have built up authority.
The great thing about having authority and/or popularity is that people will be compelled to link to you. Let’s say you report your monthly earnings at $30000 and all of your readers are amazed with your accomplishment. Assuming most of your readers and followers have blogs, there is a very good chance that some of them will link back to your earnings. Same goes for if you write an exceptional article – people are going to take notice and the links will start pouring in. Authority is not something that happens overnight though, so do not get too excited if you are just starting out.
Have a Contest
Holding a contest on your website can serve as a very catchy, creative way to get backlinks for better search engine rankings. In recent years, the number of contests held by websites has increased due to the fact that they are a very effective traffic booster. Although I personally do not plan on having a contest on “2 Make Money On The Internet” anytime soon, there are plenty of webmasters that enjoy implementing contests.
The point is that any quality contest (e.g. that gives people the chance to win good prizes) is going to build up the number of visitors to your website and will build backlinks. People will discuss the contest on their websites – especially if they won a prize. It is a good idea to build up a moderate number of readers before you use this technique. Assess whether you could gain a lot of good links from having a contest. If you could, you should consider having one.
Video Marketing
If you are good at creating web videos, you can post them all across the net. Putting a few keyword-rich videos on YouTube is going to bring in more traffic to your website. If you know how to create a customized video player (specifically for your website), then whenever someone embeds it into a post, they are going to automatically give you an extra backlink.
If you talk about something interesting or controversial, there are likely going to be many people that watch the video. Simply include a URL link to your website if you want to get more incoming links. This technique does not always work well, but it can be highly effective if you are a good speaker and/or have something exciting to share.
Use Yahoo Answers
An easy way to pick up some quick link juice is to spend some time contributing to Yahoo Answers. For those who do not know how Yahoo Answers works, it is basically a place where any member of Yahoo can ask a question. If you take the time to thoughtfully answer someone’s question, you can link back to a couple sources of where you got your answer. Obviously you probably should not be linking to a make money online website if you are answering a question about health.
It is relatively easy to search for questions that are related to your area of expertise. If you are really experienced in the area of fitness, you probably will want to answer questions in that specific niche and link to a fitness website that you may have. The cool thing is that Yahoo Answers has a lot of power in the eyes of the search engines – therefore the links coming to your website from it are usually very beneficial.
Build Support Websites
For most people that know how to create websites, it is not very difficult to create a bunch of little niche “support” websites. The idea is to use these support sites to give your main website backlinks. You usually should not interlink these support sites with one another; rather, each one should be pointing directly at your main site. I recommend putting up at least 5 posts on each website and sending some authority back to the site that you are trying to build up to number one.
The nice thing about support sites is that they can be created for free on platforms like Blogger.com and WordPress.com. If you are smart in your link building process (e.g. only link out every once and awhile), you can get a ton of authority transferred your way. This technique works great if you have a large website that could use a bit of a boost.
Hire an SEO Specialist
Hiring a Search Engine Optimization specialist could be one of the best decisions for your website that you ever make. It is very important to have someone knowledgeable in SEO on your side if you hope to rank well and maximize your traffic. If you already know a lot about optimizing your site for search engines, there is no need for a specialist or consultant.
Professionals in SEO are experts in getting your website lots of high quality backlinks from many different sources. People that are experienced in this field will be able to get you a lot of links in a relatively short period of time. It may be wise to consider taking advantage of an SEO specialist if you hope to make lots of money on the internet.
